Hoang Xuan Hieu is responsible for Business Development and Strategy. Before joining CMC, Hieu has worked for IBM Vietnam for 12 years from 1995-2007. He has played a key role in setting up IBM in Vietnam – the first major IT company to do so after the US embargo against the country was lifted. During the time at IBM, Hieu has held senior leadership positions as CFO and later Deputy General Manager, responsible for Channel Management, Sales, Business Development and Growth Strategy. Before joining IBM, Hieu worked at the National Center for Science and Technology’s Institute of Information Technology, leading key IT projects at Ministry of Finance and Vietcombank. Hieu is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce, Hanoi Chapter and served as its Vice Chair of the Boards in 2005.
Hieu holds BS in Operations Research and MIS from the Berlin Business School, Germany and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
