Le Hoai Anh is Managing Director and Vietnam Country Head of Credit Suisse, based in Singapore. Anh led several landmark transactions of Credit Suisse in Vietnam; including US$750MM Vietnam’s inaugural international sovereign bond, equitisation advisory and US$255MM strategic stake sale of BaoViet to HSBC Insurance (first and largest strategic stake sale in Vietnam), equitization advisory and strategic sale of Vietcombank (first equitization of a Vietnamese major state-owned commercial banks), US$600MM loan for Vinashin (first and largest offshore corporate loan for a Vietnamese company) and US$471MM fund raising for Indochina Capital (largest equity offering from Vietnam and first listed in London Main Board).
Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2001, Anh worked in the Investment Banking Group of Morgan Stanley in New York and in Singapore from 1997. He was the Senior Consultant at VCCI and advised on a number of foreign direct investment projects in Vietnam before going to study for MBA in the United States.
Anh has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hanoi National University (Valedictorian) and an MBA from the Wharton Business School (Fulbright Scholar).
